In 1995, two
pioneers in the
California Olive
Oil Renaissance,
Bob Singetary
and John Silos,
purchased the
Orland Olive
Oil, which had
been in business
since 1934, and
renamed it Stonehouse.
Today, Stonehouse
California Olive
Oil Company is
proud to be a
part of the ongoing
farmer's market
revolution in
the United States,
one in which
both farmers
and citizens
benefit, to the
betterment of
both. As high
quality foods
are often expensive
to produce, being
able to sell
directly to the
customer enables
us to keep our
prices as low
as possible,
practice sound
farming, fairness
to farmers and
workers, while
bringing the
highest quality
products directly
to market. Our
California extra
virgin olive
oil is certified
extra virgin
by the California
Olive Oil Council
(COOC) under
the guidelines
of the International
Olive Oil Council,
and has won many
prestigious awards,
including gold,
silver and bronze
medals in the
annual L.A. County
Fair, which hosts
the largest olive
oil competition
in the world.
When you purchase
a bottle of Stonehouse
California Olive
Oil you are literally
buying one of
the best olive
oils in the world.
We hope you enjoy
it in good health,
and with pleasure.
